Miss Lou Archives On Display At National Library

Prime Minister the Most Hon. Andrew Holness (right), accepts a copy of a framed storyboard highlighting aspects of the life and work of late cultural icon, Dr. the Hon. Louise Bennett Coverley, affectionately called ‘Miss Lou’, during a civic ceremony in Gordon Town, East Rural St Andrew on September 8, to commemorate the centenary of Miss Lou’s birth. Sharing the moment (from left) are Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport, Hon. Olivia Grange; Chairman, Fontana Pharmacy, Kevin O’Brien Chang; and Manager, Fontana Pharmacy, Nicole Watson Chang. More than 1,700 of the storyboards will be donated to schools, libraries, Ministries and Diplomatic Missions. This is being facilitated through a partnership between the Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport and Fontana Pharmacy.
