The Ministry of Education, Youth Skills and Information will be implementing minor adjustments to the 2025/2026 administration of the Primary Exit Profile (PEP) Examinations following extensive stakeholder consultations with groups such as the Jamaica Teachers’ Association (JTA), focus group sessions with principals and education officers, as well as a national survey with the input of some 2,600 parents.

Work is now underway to construct a new 6 story medical tower at the University Hospital of the West Indies (UHWI). The new facility will offer advanced medical care to patients once complete. Chairman Patrick Hylton says each floor is designed to meet the growing needs of the public seeking quality medical treatment on the island.

With the beginning of the 2025/2026 academic school year around the corner.... It’s likely that parents and students are both ready and excited for classes to resume in September.
