Physical Education benefits students in a variety of ways, such as boosting their physical health, improving concentration and fostering social interactions.  The Ministry of Education and Youth describes Physical Education as more than physical action or processes but the holistic development of the individual inclusive of the physical, spiritual, and mental well-being.

Waterfront Park

The government has announced plans to construct a park in downtown, Kingston at the popular waterfront attraction in the area. When completed the project is expected to boost investment interest in the nation’s capital among other outcomes.

TAJ Renovation work update

The government has announced plans to modernize several of the Tax Administration of Jamaica (TAJ) offices across the island to meet the growing demand of the public. The scope of work includes the expansion of parking facilities, providing larger office areas, and the addition of new services in several locations.

Career Talk – Government Initiatives to Boost Access to Tertiary Education

A major concern for most students pursuing a tertiary level education, is not being able to complete their studies due to lack of finances. To help mitigate this concern among local students, Minister of Finance and the Public Service, Dr. Nigel Clarke recently announced that the Government will be providing 250 full tuition scholarships for new science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) teachers each year for the next five years.

Peace Day Celebrations at Gregory Park Primary

The Gregory Park Primary guidance department on Tuesday March 7 organized a Peace March in the Gregory Park community in observation of National Peace Day.  The event was observed under the theme “Be the Peace”. Principal of Gregory Park Primary, Richard Williams says his students were being used as instruments of peace to help address the high levels of violence and crime that have been taking place in the area.
