UTOUCH II To Enhance Learning For The Deaf

The Ministry of Education’s mantra, “every child can learn, every child must learn” is receiving support with the upgrading of multimedia software at the Lister Mair/Gilby High School for the Deaf. The software, ‘U-Touch II’ was recently launched at the school, based in Papine, St. Andrew. It was developed by the University of Technology, UTech and is an upgrade of the ‘U-Touch’ software provided to the institution in 2014.

Child diversion is the process of implementing measures for dealing with children who are accused or recognized to have infringed the law, without resorting to formal judicial proceedings. The Government is rolling out a National Child Diversion Programme, which is to be fully rolled out by the end of this year.
