This frustration and inconvenient situation is what many residents of West Gate Hills in St James  have grown accustomed to, due to inconsistent water supply to the area. That situation is now resolved thanks to a 100,000-gallon tank installed in the community by the National Water Commission NWC.

Father’s Day is just around the corner and the Registrar General’s Department (RGD) is having a special Status Day Promotion on Monday June 20 allowing 50 fathers to add their names to their child’s birth certificate, free of cost. Chief Executive Officer at the RGD Charlton McFarlane will explain the process of adding the father’s particulars, but just before that explanation, let’s explore why it’s important for the father’s name to be included on his child’s birth certificate.
