In Kingston Jamaica, on June 21, 2018 the landmark Jamaica Women’s Health Survey revealed that more than 1 in every 4 women in Jamaica has experienced intimate partner physical and sexual violence in their lifetime. The first comprehensive Jamaica national survey on gender-based violence revealed a prevalence of 27.8 per cent women affected.
