‘Destitute. Redeemed. Restored: The Catalyst Summit’
That’s the name of a recent event organized for persons dealing with and recovering from trauma and sexual abuse. Organized by Pastor Shanecia Sewart, and staged at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel on June 6, the summit highlighted the many ways that gender-based violence impacts society.
It also brought together specialists from various fields, including law, human resources, and mental health advocacy, to offer guidance and support for survivors.
Attendees were as keen to share their stories, as they were to hear from the speakers.
