Trade Unionist and Head of the Hugh Lawson Shearer trade Union Education Institute (HLSTUEI), Danny Roberts called on workers to reflect on the contributions made by labourers of the 1938 labour unrest and its significance for the future of Jamaica’s labour relations as the nation celebrates Workers’ Week, May 18-23.
Trade Unionist and Head of the Hugh Lawson Shearer trade Union Education Institute (HLSTUEI), Danny Roberts called on workers to reflect on the contributions made by labourers of the 1938 labour unrest and its significance for the future of Jamaica’s labour relations as the nation celebrates Workers’ Week, May 18-23.

The NHT was adjudicated as the corporate entity where employees report the greatest worker satisfaction, opt to remain despite lucrative offers elsewhere, and give their employers high marks for working conditions and remuneration. First runner up was CEMEX Jamaica Limited and second Runner up was Digicel Jamaica. The presentations were made on Saturday, May 10 at the Jamaica Employers’ Federation (JEF) 32nd Annual Business and Workplace Convention, at the Sunset Jamaica Grand Resort and Spa, in Ocho Rios.
