Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller leaves the island today (Sunday, May 18) for the Turks and Caicos where she will deliver the keynote address and officially open a new resort – Key West Luxury Village at the Beaches Turks and Caicos. The Prime Minister will be accompanied on the visit by Tourism Minister Hon Dr Wykeham McNeill.
Key West Luxury Village is the fourth village of the Beaches Turks & Caicos resort – the others being the Caribbean Village, French Village and Italian Village.
During her absence from the island, Dr the Hon. Omar Davies, Minister of Transport, Works and Housing will be in charge of the government.
The Prime Minister will return to the island later this evening.
