This was done in commemoration of the 108th anniversary of his birth, on Sunday (February 10) at the National Heroes Park in Kingston. Kapo was one of the greatest artists in Jamaica's ‘Intuitives’ artistic movement. He was born in the Byndloss district of St. Catherine and died in 1989 at age 78 years. Also present at the ceremony were members of the creative industry, revivalist movement, diplomats, the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission and other dignitaries.
