The Ministry of Industry, Investment and Commerce (MIIC), Jamaica’s Business Ministry, drives economic growth by increasing investments, expanding exports, supporting MSME development, and strengthening quality and standards. Through strategic policies and partnerships, MIIC empowers businesses and positions Jamaica as a competitive global destination for commerce and innovation.

Vision Statement
A fast-growing economy that attracts higher and sustained investments, produces exponential growth in exports, enables and empowers businesses to innovate and grow while producing high-level, well-paid employment for Jamaicans.
Mission Statement
To increase substantially local and foreign direct investment that will lead to a much higher level of production of products and services, exponential exports and strong economic growth.
Mandate
To create and execute policies and programmes that drive investment, increase significantly productivity, exports, job creation and consumer protection.
Strategic Priorities
• Drive export growth through the diversification and promotion of products, services, and traveling to expand existing markets and to find and secure new ones.
• Targeted promotion to attract significant increases in local and foreign direct investments.
• Adopt a concerted drive to get businesses to increase their productivity and make Jamaica a much easier place in which to do business.
• Promote fair market competition and enhance consumer protection.
