USA AND EUROPEAN INVESTOR ROADSHOW

MR. SPEAKER, ON FRIDAY JULY 8 2016, I CONCLUDED THE SECOND LEG OF A USA AND EUROPEAN NON-DEAL INVESTOR ROADSHOW.

TODAY I WOULD LIKE TO SHARE WITH THE PARLIAMENT AND THE JAMAICAN PEOPLE DETAILS OF THOSE MEETINGS.

THE INVESTOR ROADSHOW IS AN ANNUAL EVENT WHERE A JAMAICA DELEGATION, LED BY THE MINISTER OF FINANCE, MEETS WITH LARGE INVESTORS IN JAMAICA’S GLOBAL BONDS TO PRESENT AN UPDATE ON DEVELOPMENTS IN THE ECONOMY AND TO OUTLINE THE MACROECONOMIC AND FISCAL POLICIES FOR
THE NEW BUDGET YEAR.

THE FIRST LEG OF THE ROADSHOW TOOK PLACE IN THE USA CITIES OF LOS ANGELES, NEW YORK AND BOSTON DURING THE WEEK OF JUNE 20 -24 2016 AND ENGAGED THIRTY-THREE FUND MANAGERS AND INVESTMENT BANKERS.

THE EUROPEAN LEG, DURING THE WEEK OF JULY 4 – 8,INVOLVED INVESTOR MEETINGS IN LONDON, FRANKFURT, AMSTERDAM, VIENNA, AND ZURICH COVERING TWENTY-FOUR FUND MANAGERS AND INVESTMENT BANKS. IT COMMENCED WITH ME ADDRESSING AN INVESTMENT PROMOTION LUNCHEON HOSTED
BY JAMPRO AT THE JAMAICAN HIGH COMMISSION IN LONDON.

THE LUNCHEON BROUGHT TOGETHER TWENTY PERSONS WITH INTEREST IN JAMAICA AND INCLUDED MS. DAWN BUTLER, BRITISH MP AND CHAIR OF THE ALL PARTY PARLIAMENTARY GROUP FOR JAMAICA; BARONESS VERMA OF LEICESTER, PARLIAMENTARY UNDER SECRETARY OF STATE, DEPARTMENT FOR INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND OUR OWN HUGH HART OF KINGSBRIDGE CAPITAL.
