INTRODUCTION
In line with the requirements under the Fiscal Responsibility Framework, I tabled the Fiscal Policy Paper (FPP) FY 2018/19 Interim Report in this House of Representatives on September 25, 2018, within the specified six months of the passing of the Appropriation Act for FY 2018/19. Based on the critical nature of some of the additional expenditure requirements outlined in the FPP I also simultaneously tabled the First Supplementary Estimates FY 2018/2019.
FISCAL POLICY PAPER FY 2018/19 INTERIM REPORT
The FPP Interim Report provides: an update on the performance of the economy during the last fiscal year (FY 2017/18); an outline of the performance of the economy during the current fiscal year primarily through end-July 2018; an updated estimate of the expected economic performance for FY 2018/19; and an update of the economic forecast for FY 2019/20 and the medium term.
The FPP Supplementary Debate Dr. Nigel Clarke Interim Report is comprised of three parts: Part 1 – Fiscal Responsibility Statement; Part 2 – Macroeconomic Framework; and Part 3 – Fiscal Management Strategy.
