Sports Spotlight Discusses the Official Unveiling of Veronica Campbell Brown’s Statue

On Sunday October 20, 2019 the legacy of one of Jamaica’s most outstanding sprinters Veronica Campbell Brown was literally cemented, as an official statue in her honour was unveiled at Statue Park at the National Stadium. Moulded by renowned sculptor Basil Watson, the life-sized statue sees Campbell Brown mid-stride, holding her hands upward in thanksgiving, moments after bursting through the tape at the finish line.
