After the passage of the category 5 storm Melissa in 2025, the Government needed accurate, on‑the‑ground information to guide relief and recovery efforts. The Social Development Commission (SDC) was mobilized to help Jamaicans to recover, rebuild, and move forward by conducting a series of surveys and providing critical data to guide policy decisions.
