SDC Awards 1 Million Dollars In Grant Support To Small Business Owners

The Social Development Commission SDC has awarded grants totaling 1.1 million dollars to support the economic stability of several small entrepreneurs and micro-businesses in St. James. The grants were presented to 22 small enterprises or Local Economic Initiatives LEIs, during a handover ceremony and workshop, at the SDC St. James Office in Albion.

With schools out until September, teachers and administrators have had to get creative in order to ensure students can continue receiving their lessons. The principal of the Little Bay All Age and Infant School, Keron King, has chosen to personally deliver worksheets and lessons to students, sometimes using a motorbike he rides himself.
