Jamaicans are being invited to showcase their tilapia cooking skills, for a chance to win cash and prizes. The cooking competition, dubbed ‘Many Moods of Tilapia’ is being spearheaded by the National Fisheries Authority (NFA), as part of efforts to further promote the aquaculture sector and increase consumption of the freshwater fish locally.
September is celebrated annually as Senior Citizens Month, and this year the National Council for Senior Citizens is celebrating under the theme: ‘Ageing Jamaica: Epitomising Resilience and Greatness’. The last week of the September, this year being from September 25 to October 1, is being recognized locally as Senior Citizens Week.
