Through the school’s agricultural program, students at the Winston Jones High School, are being introduced to the many benefits and practices of sustainable farming, engaging in among other things, poultry farming, animal husbandry, and crop production. Principal of the Manchester-based institution, Marie Wilson Mclaughlin stressed that the school’s Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) program has a strong emphasis on agriculture and agricultural science, describing the subject as the mainstay of the curriculum.
