Director of Children and Family Programmes at the Child Protection and Family Services Agency (CPFSA), Warren Thompson (right), displays the cover of a story book to grade-two students at the Bamboo Primary and Junior High School in St. Ann during Read Across Jamaica Day on Tuesday (May 3). Mr. Thompson visited the institution as part of a school tour to promote the importance of child protection and the Agency’s 211 Child Abuse Reporting Hotline.

Jamaica’s Promise – Brown’s Town Primary Wins Environmental Quiz Competition

The Cause for Change Foundation, in partnership with the VM Foundation and the Ministry of Education, Skills, Youth and Information, recently staged the QEC 26 Environment Quiz & Expo. The event, held under the theme “Conserve, Preserve, Revive”, brought together 13 primary schools from St. Ann to test their environmental knowledge and awareness, while engaging in meaningful discussions on climate change.
