Jamaica’s Promise – St. Hilda’s High School’s Dervette Mignott and Robotics

Robotics has been a staple in upper sixth form student Dervette Mignott’s life for the past 6 years, thanks to the efforts of the St. Hilda’s Diocesan High School in St. Ann which continues to inspire the ladies of the institution to embrace the disciplines of Science, Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education. According to Dervette it only feels like yesterday that she fell in love with the ability to design, build, use and observe robots to perform tasks autonomously or with minimal human intervention.
