Jamaica’s Promise – JPS Foundation’s Power Up Energy Club Debate Finals

On Tuesday, March 18, the JPS Foundation’s Power Up Energy Club Debate Competition came to a close with a doubleheader between Wolmer’s Boys School and Herbert Morrisson Technical High as well as Calabar High School and Clarendon College. Students were competing for among other things cash and prizes valued at roughly $700,000 including trophies and bragging rights. Throughout the duration of the competition students from 18 secondary schools from across the island had the opportunity to showcase their knowledge and critical thinking skills on energy-related matters.
