Jamaica’s Promise – Buff Bay Primary Celebrates Academic Recovery

Buff Bay Primary School in Portland saw 2024 as a year of academic recovery following the COVID-19 pandemic, which caused children’s performance to fall short of expectations. According to Principal Mrs. Jacqueline Edwards, students were struggling to adjust to the new and changing learning landscape online which in turn affected their academic performance, primarily as it relates to retaining information.
