Grateful Hill Primary & Infant School: Thriving in Literacy & Agriculture

Nestled in the northeast region of St. Catherine in the rural district – Glengoffe you will find the Grateful Hill Primary and Infant School. Principal of the institution, George Moodie says the school has rolled out several initiatives to boost literacy and numeracy and expand students’ skills. In addition to creating a positive environment for students to grow academically, there is also a thrust to introduce students to agricultural practices to among other things, sustain the sector. To this end, Grateful Hill Primary has established a thriving agricultural project with the support of the St. Catherine 4-H Clubs, Rural Agricultural Development Authority, Social Development Commission and Jamaica Broilers.
