Jamaica is big on immunization. This process starts at birth, and the health passport tracks the data collected. If you were born before 2010 you may very well remember the blue immunization card. That card or booklet tracks the immunization record of all Jamaicans. That paper-based system served us well for decades and now needs a digital upgrade. Today we Introduce to you the Electronic Immunization Registry.
Health and Wellness Minister Dr. Christopher Tufton says one of the benefits of the digital system is being able to retrieve the data quickly. This solves one particular challenge: losing the card or booklet.
