Attorney at law Syleen O’Gilvie was recently named as one of nineteen public-sector workers who received the Marcus Garvey Public Sector Graduate Scholarship administered by the Ministry of Finance and the Public Service. She began her legal education journey at the Faculty of Law at the University of the West Indies, Mona, before advancing to the Norman Manley Law School and later being called to the bar in 2014.However, Miss O’Gilvie shared that growing up she wasn’t always convinced that this was the right career path intended for her.
