The Pilot Program for Climate Resilience (PPCR) is a funding mechanism under the Climate Investment Fund, which helps developing countries, like Jamaica, incorporate climate resilience into our growth and development plans. Essentially, the government and its private partners have secured funding to ensure that the country is prepared for severe weather conditions.

The performance of students at the primary level is expected to improve significantly with the implementation of the Specialist Teacher Model. The model requires schools to identify teachers who will function as specialists for mathematics, language, science and social studies.
