President Chavez Visit Postponed Due to Injury

The visit to Jamaica of Venezuelan President, Hugo Chavez, which was planned to coincide with Jamaica’s 47th Independence Anniversary, on Thursday (August 6), has been postponed.
The Office of the Prime Minister (OPM) reported in a release today (August 3) that, because of an injury Mr. Chavez sustained while participating in a softball game on Sunday, he will be unable to fulfill the engagement.
President Chavez was also scheduled to visit St Vincent and the Grenadines on Wednesday (August 5) for a one-day official visit as guest of Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves. But, the Office of the Prime Minister in Kingstown, St. Vincent announced today that this visit was also postponed. It was also reported that President Ch
