Condolence Book for Lady Bustamante Opens in London

A Condolence Book for Lady Bustamante, who died on July 25, has been opened at the Jamaican High Commission, in London, in the United Kingdom.
High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Burchell Whiteman, who signed the book, today (August 3), said Lady Bustamante was the strong support of Jamaica’s first Prime Minister and National Hero, the Rt. Excellent Sir Alexander Bustamante.
He said she was an efficient and dedicated Trustee of the Bustamante Industrial Trade Union (BITU) and an inspiration to all Jamaicans, particularly women.
Meanwhile, the High Commission has announced plans for a special Memorial Service for the Life of Lady Bustamante, that will be held in London.
Lady Bustamante will be accorded an official funeral on August 8, which will also be observed as a National Day of Mourning. She will be buried beside her husband in National Heroes Park.
