PM to Hold Special Town Hall Meeting for UWI Community October 6

Students of the University of the West Indies (UWI) and residents of the surrounding communities are to get direct answers to their concerns on Tuesday (October 6), when Prime Minister, the Hon. Bruce Golding attends a Town Hall meeting organised by Taylor Hall students, as part of a special week of activities on the campus.
Minister of Education, Hon. Andrew Holness, will support the Prime Minister and he will provide answers and clarification for students. Citizens of the UWI community will also be able to speak directly with the Prime Minister and Minister Holness. Those attending will have the opportunity to put forward their ideas and suggestions concerning ways and means of addressing the challenges facing the nation.
To date, the Prime Minister has attended Town Hall meetings in Mandeville, Manchester; Portmore, St. Catherine; Montego Bay, St. James; Ocho Rios, St. Ann; Junction, St. Elizabeth; Annotto Bay, St. Mary and May Pen, Clarendon.
Town Hall meetings allow citizens to have discussions with Government representatives about national and local policies, programmes and the state of the nation.
