Red Snapper fingerlings which are ready to be transferred to the bigger sea cages, swim around in smaller plastic drums at the National Fisheries Authority (NFA) Bowden Bay Mariculture Research Facility in St. Thomas on Monday (October 13). The fish are a part of the Red Snapper Cage Culture Fin Fish Pilot Project which is headed by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) as part of a regional initiative being implemented in Jamaica, St. Lucia, and St. Kitts and Nevis at a cost of approximately $63 million.
