Occasion was the penultimate stop of the Queen's Baton Relay, before its final stop in the historical town of Spanish Town, St. Catherine, on April 8. The relay, started in Kingston, and made its way across the island. Jamaica is the baton’s 54th stop, en route to 60 other Commonwealth nations, before arriving in Glasgow, Scotland, ahead of the start of the 20th Commonwealth Games on July 23. $302 Million Budgeted for Lights at Sabina Park

Portia Simpson Miller (second left), and Indian High Commissioner to Jamaica, His Excellency Shri Pratap Singh (second right), hold the signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), that will see the Indian Government providing US$2.1 million for the installation of flood lights at Sabina Park.
