Transport, Works, and Housing Minister, Dr. the Hon. Omar Davies (2nd left), along with the People’s Republic of China’s Ambassador to Jamaica, His Excellency Dong Xiaojun (left); and Caribbean Maritime Institute (CMI) Executive Director, Dr. Fritz Pinnock (2nd right), display the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which will facilitate the teaching of Mandarin, at the CMI beginning in September. Looking on is Chief Education Officer, Ministry of Education,. Dr. Grace McLean, who represented Portfolio Minister, Hon. Rev. Ronald Thwaites. The signing was held on July 30, at the CMI’s Palisadoes Park campus in Kingston.
