The Full Story

The mobile unit of the Companies Office of Jamaica (COJ) is scheduled to visit the town of Mandeville for three days, beginning Thursday, February 22.
During this time, members from the COJ will operate from the site of the Inland Revenue Department on South Race Course Road.
Speaking to JIS News, COJ Liaison Officer, Keith Andrade said that registration of businesses would be high on the agenda.
“We will also be in the town on Friday, February 23 as well as on Tuesday, February 27 at the same venue, so persons who want to find out all there is to know about setting up legitimate businesses can come by,” he said.
Mr. Andrade pointed out that staff would be working from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and that persons wishing to submit outstanding company documents could do during those hours.
“If you want to do a business name renewal, then the Inland Revenue office is the place to go. Bring along items such as your company’s TRN certificate as well as the names of company officers,” he said.
Mr. Andrade informed that for those with internet access, forms could be obtained by visiting the COJ website at www.orcjamaica.com.
“We look forward to welcoming all the persons from the parish who want to do what is right under the laws that regulate how and in what manner we are to do business in Jamaica,” he said.
