Administrative professionals, who plan and organize business trips, will benefit from a Business Travel workshop, organised by the Management Institute for National Development (MIND).
The workshop is being planned for Friday (Oct.14) at MIND’s Old Hope Road offices, and according to John Tracey, Manager for Finance and Organizational Administration at MIND, the target audience was executive and administrative professionals, who planned and organized business trips for supervisors and managers.
“After attending the workshop, persons would have increased their awareness of current trends in business travel; enhanced their competencies in making productive business travel arrangements and would be more knowledgeable about the agencies that can help facilitate business travel,”Mr. Tracey told JIS News.
He added, “the workshop comes at a time when the matter of travelling, more specifically business travelling, has been affected by a number of events, particularly September 11 (9/11), which created the need for increased security measures resulting in delays and new regulations”.
MIND has invited public and private sector representatives from the Airports Authority of Jamaica, Trafalgar Travel, Air Jamaica, Hertz Rent-a-Car and the Hilton Kingston to the event, with the main objective being to create a forum in which the target group would be exposed to the detailed requirements for full business travel services.
Additionally, the participants will be familiarized with all the elements that must be brought together to ensure full service business travel whilst identifying the current innovations in business travel arrangements.
