Members of staff of the Manchester Co-operative Credit Union have planned several activities in celebration of Credit Union Week being observed from October 15 to 22.
The activities commenced today (October 18) with an Appreciation Day for members of the Christiana branch.
Marketing Officer of the Mandeville Co-op Credit Union, Michael Gottshalk told JIS News that “the Christiana Appreciation Day will include free health checks for members of the Credit Union by nurses from the Percy Junor Hospital, and a lunch-time concert with treats and give-aways”.
On Thursday, October 19, International Credit Union Day, the Mandeville branch of the Credit Union will host its Appreciation Day with a lunch hour concert in their car park.
“At this concert, members of the Mandeville branch will receive free health checks from nurses from the Mandeville Regional Hospital, and treats will be given to the members,” Mr. Gottshalk said.
On Friday, October 20, members of the Porus branch of the credit union will receive free health checks from nurses at the Porus Health Centre. In addition, there will be a lunch hour concert, treats and give-aways.
The week’s activities will conclude with a Church Service at the St. Augustine Anglican Church in Porus on Sunday, October 22, beginning at 8:00 a.m.
