The Creative Production and Training Centre (CPTC) is embarking on a number of new projects and initiatives for this fiscal year, which will be supported by a subvention from Government and revenues earned by the agency.
This was disclosed by Minister with responsibility for Information, Telecommunications and Special Projects in the Office of the Prime Minister, Hon. Daryl Vaz, during his contribution to the 2010/11 Sectoral Debate in the House of Representatives, today (July 27).
He said that the CPTC’s emphasis on culture, “which is really our greatest strength and our area of greatest competitive advantage,” is critical.
“Our rich, textured and enviable cultural history and robust cultural status demands care in documenting and showcasing these works. The CPTC has faithfully discharged both its production and training mandates over the last 25 years,” the Minister noted.
He added that the CPTC has contributed 25 years to cultural information and media training and enhancement.
