The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Creative Production and Training Centre (CPTC) Limited, Dr. Hopeton Dunn has announced the appointment of Mrs. Angela Patterson as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the CPTC.
Mrs. Patterson is a former General Manager of CVM Television (2000 – 2003) with a long standing career in media and information technology marketing. She is a former member of the Boards of the Caribbean Broadcasting Union (CBU) and of the Caribbean Media Corporation (CMC) and is a former Director of Marketing and Planning at the Jamaica Broadcasting Corporation. She has also served as a member of the National Steering Committee for Values and Attitudes in Jamaica.
Mrs. Patterson was most recently engaged as Consultant to the Nationwide News Network and PRO Communications Limited, and formerly worked as a Senior Executive with Jamaica National Building Society, Fujitsu ICL Caribbean (Jamaica) Limited, NCR Jamaica Limited, and Rank Xerox U.K. Limited.
Commenting on her appointment, the CPTC Chairman, Dr. Dunn, said that Mrs. Patterson comes with a direct knowledge of management at the top levels of media within both the private and public sectors. He said it was the view of the Board that Mrs. Patterson’s career reflected the professional expertise and public-spirited commitment needed to fulfil the mandate and goals of the CPTC.
She assumes duties as CEO on January 9, 2006 and succeeds Dr. Dunn, who remains the Chairman of the Board.
