Prime Minister, the Most Hon. Andrew Holness, receives a cheque for US$200,000 from Premier of the Cayman Islands, Hon. Juliana O’Connor-Connolly, towards Jamaica’s Hurricane Beryl recovery efforts. The presentation, which also included medical equipment, was made during a meeting between the leaders on Thursday (July 18) at the Office of the Prime Minister. Premier O’Connor-Connolly led a Cayman Islands delegation that paid a working visit to Jamaica on Thursday.

Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Mining, Hon. Floyd Green (left), is presented with agricultural inputs to assist farmers impacted by the passage of Hurricane Beryl, by Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Hardware & Lumber, Olive Downer Walsh. Over $15.3 million in supplies were handed over at Hardware & Lumber Limited in Kingston on Wednesday (July 17). An additional $9.7 million will be allocated to broader recovery initiatives, including infrastructure repair and community rebuilding.
