Their Excellencies, Governor-General, the Most Hon. Sir Patrick Allen (centre), and Lady Allen (3rd right), with five of the six members of the Jamaican Diaspora who received the 2015 Governor General's Award for Excellence, following the presentation ceremony at the Montego Bay Convention Centre in St. James on June 16. The award for the sixth recipient, Gloria Leslie, who is based in the United Kingdom, and who was absent, was collected by Jamaica’s High Commissioner to the UK, Her Excellency, Aloun Ndombet Assamba. The ceremony formed part of activities marking Diaspora Day at the conference, which will end on June 18.
