Volunteer, Jodeane Bailey reads a book to students at the opening of the sixth ‘Di Corna Library’ in Cassava Piece, St. Andrew, on May 7, which was observed as Read Across Jamaica Day.  Di Corna Library is a sustainable community initiative aimed at providing a variety of books and school resources to under-served communities. Under the initiative, conceptualised by education specialist Rachel McDonald, old refrigerators are repurposed into book cupboards to store books that children and adults can borrow, read and return.
