Cabinet has approved the appointment of a new Board of Directors for the National Housing Trust. The appointments became effective January 1, 2010, for a period of two years.
The new NHT Board members are:
Mr. Howard S. Mitchell, Attorney- at law, appointed as Chairman for a second term. Mr. George Fyffe, General Secretary of the Bustamante Industrial Trade Union (BITU) Mr. Lloyd Goodleigh, President of the Jamaica Confederation of Trade Unions (JCTU) and General Secretary of the National Workers Union (NWU) Mr. Wayne Jones, President of the Jamaica Civil Service Association (JCSA) Mr. Adrian Grant, Businessman Mr. Ray Howell, Principal of the Edith Dalton James High School Mrs. Kay Bennett-Sherman, Attorney-at-law Mr. Jeremy Palmer, Mayor of Black River Miss Joy Douglas, General Manager of the Urban Development Corporation (UDC) Mr. Desmond Young, Director, Housing Agency of Jamaica Dr. Parris Lyew-Ayee Jnr., Director, Mona GeoInformatics Institute Miss Audrey Richards, Financial Consultant Phillip Bernard, Jamaica National Building Society Ms. Mary-Angela Robertson, Attorney-at-law Mr. Peter Jervis, Director, Peter Jervis & Associates Limited Managing Director, National Housing Trust.
