Cabinet Approves $65 Million Janitorial Contract for Half-Way-Tree Transport Centre

Cabinet has given approval for the award of a contract in the sum of $65,520,000 to Lamasa Limited, for the provision of janitorial services at the Half-Way-Tree Transport Centre over a three-year period.
Minister without Portfolio in the Office of the Prime Minister, with responsibility for Information, Telecommunications and Special Projects, Hon. Daryl Vaz made the revelation at the weekly post-Cabinet press briefing on Wednesday (October 21) at Jamaica House.
The successful contractor is required, among other things, to supply all labour, supervision, materials and supplies, equipment, tools, chemicals and all other items necessary or proper for the provision of the janitorial services.
The Half-Way-Tree Transport Centre is managed by the Port Authority of Jamaica, through its subsidiary, Port Authority Management Services Limited (PAMS).
