KINGSTON — Cabinet has approved new boards for the Jamaica 4-H Clubs, the Sugar Company of Jamaica Holdings Limited and the Sports Development Foundation (SDF).
Details of the appointments were given by Minister with responsibility for Information, Telecommunications and Special Projects, Hon. Daryl Vaz, at a Post Cabinet press briefing at Jamaica House, yesterday.
For the Jamaica 4-H Clubs, the board members have been appointed for a period of two years, effective April 18, 2011 to April 17, 2013.
They are: Vindell Kerr (Chairman); Joel Williams; Damion Barker; Collin Virgo; Albert Shand; Kavan Gayle; Phillip Andrew Bunting; Yaneke Watson; Andrew Blake; Jacqueline Hendricks; Beulah Smith; Marsha Dennie; Tova Hamilton; and Jean Nesbeth-Young.
At the Sugar Company of Jamaica Holdings Limited, the board members have been appointed for a period of one year effective April 18.
The members are: Erwin Burton (Chairman); Wentworth Charles (Deputy Chairman); Dr. Horace Charoo; Lorris Jarrett; Stephanie Muir; Archibald Campbell; Patrick McIntosh; Kavan Gayle; and George Callaghan.
For the SDF an interim board has been appointed for a one year period effective April 18. The members are: Lloyd Pommells; Compton Rodney; Cecil Warren; Emile Spence; and Dawn Spence-Heron.
Also, Cabinet approved the appointment of Donovan Walker (Deputy Chairman); and Stuart Andrade, as members of the Board of Directors of the Consumer Affairs Commission, effective April18, 2011 to February 7, 2012.
For the Fair Trading Commission, Cabinet approved the appointment of Emile Leiba to the board, effective April 18, 2011 to April 5, 2012.
