Earlier in July, Education Minister Dr. Dana Morris-Dixon visited two outstanding schools, the St. Ann based Philadelphia Primary and Infant School and Clydesdale Primary, to personally praise their outstanding accomplishments in this year’s Primary Exit Profile (PEP) Examinations, achieving improved student proficiency. This after being previously flagged for underperformance in subjects such as Mathematics and Language Arts. According to Dr Morris-Dixon, performances, such as these highlight that students at underperforming schools can perform better if the appropriate intervention is implemented.
