20,250 Tonnes of Cement Available this Week

Approximately 20,250 tonnes of cement will be available for sale this week by the Caribbean Cement Company Limited (CCCL) and other stakeholders.
This is the word from the Ministry of Industry, Technology, Energy and Commerce (MITEC), in conjunction with the Incorporated Master Builders Association, the Hardware Merchants Association, and the Jamaica Chamber of Commerce.
At a joint meeting at the Ministry today (September 25), the stakeholders disclosed that last week, cement sales amounted to 19,937.5 tonnes.
It was also noted that last week, a total of 40,300 tonnes of imported cement arrived in the island and is currently being offloaded.
The Cement Company received its Cuban shipment of 8,000 tonnes, the Buying House Limited got 30,000 tonnes, while ARC Systems received 2,300 tonnes.
