World Council of Churches Convention for Mobay in May

The World Council of Churches will stage their annual conference in Montego Bay in May. This was announced by the Minister of Tourism, Ed Bartlett as he sat in for Prime Minister Bruce Golding on the Prime Minister’s radio programme, Jamaica House Live last night (January 26).

Minister Bartlett said that pursuing a range of markets brought more opportunities for the country.
“These are things that are going to bring employment. These are things that are going to enable a higher spend from our tourism visitors and indeed to give us greater opportunities for economic enablement and economic wellbeing,” Mr. Bartlett said.
