World Bank Mourns Passing of Faith Innerarity

September 28, 2012

The Full Story

The World Bank's Jamaica Country Office wishes to salute the work of Faith Innerarity, late Chief Technical Director at the Ministry of Labour & Social Security.

In her previous role as Director of Social Security Mrs. Innerarity was highly valued as the driving force behind our partnership with the Government of Jamaica in the rationalisation of Jamaica's Social Safety Net and the development of the Programme of Advancement Through Health and Education, PATH. In all deliberations she demonstrated an uncanny understanding of Jamaica's social fabric and the remedies required for empowering the most vulnerable citizens to move from welfare to work and from work to wealth creation.

Her sudden passing will leave an immediate void at the table, but her investment in national development will not easily be forgotten.

We wish her family strength and comfort during this very difficult time.
– Giorgio Valentini, Country Representative (Jamaica, Guyana, Trinidad & Tobago and Suriname)
