The Full Story

Jamaicans will soon be able to access information on the Ministry of Legal and Constitutional Affairs website, development of which is far advanced.

Acting Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Wayne Robertson, said internal reviews are under way.

“The website looks good. We haven’t gone live yet but we intend to do so. Minor comments were made on the draft agreement to develop the website, and that will be signed shortly,” he said, while speaking during a recent Jamaica Information Service (JIS) ‘Think Tank’.

Mr. Robertson said the website will be critical in ensuring that the Ministry is engaging with the public.

“We want to ensure that we upload content in relation to the legislative priorities and the Government’s progress with the constitutional reform agenda. We are hoping to use the website to ensure that we achieve these results,” he said.

The newly configured Ministry, which was established in 2022, also has a corporate logo, aimed at consolidating its presence.

Meanwhile, Mr. Robertson has reiterated the Ministry’s commitment to service-delivery excellence.

“We want to be an exemplary Ministry in that regard. Service excellence is something that should be a fundamental part in the culture of the Ministry,” he said.
