VM Foundation has expanded its VM ImPact Community Grants Programme, offering a wider range of funding to groups and organisations involved in community development projects.
The enhanced support will enable the beneficiary entities to make a greater and more sustainable impact across Jamaica.
The revamped community grants programme will now provide three tiers of funding – small, medium and large – ranging from $30,000 to $500,000, to support youth empowerment, education, financial literacy, arts and culture, health, social enterprise, sports, environmental conservation, among other areas.
Not-for-profit and non-governmental organisations (NGOs), registered community organisations, benevolent and service associations are invited to apply for grant support.
Applications for medium grants, which range from $50,001 to $250,000 and large grants, from $250,001 to $500,000 will close on March 14, 2025, while small grant applications, from $30,000 to $50,000, will remain open throughout the year.
President and Chief Executive Officer of VM Group, Courtney Campbell, in his remarks at the recent launch held at the organisation’s New Kingston offices, said the programme is about working with community groups to empower citizens.
“We want to impact the communities in which our members live, our potential members live, and to help improve education, to improve health status. So, it is about purpose. We will only have impact if we partner; we can achieve so much more if we work together,” he said.
Chief Executive Officer of the VM Foundation, Samantha Charles, said that over the years beneficiaries of the VM ImPact Community Grants Programme have used the support to turn their ideas into action to change lives.
“We are all about transforming lives. There is so much that can be accomplished, of course, with the right support. We want to continue being an agent of change with you, through you, helping to make a difference one step at a time,” she said.
