UNDP’s Amplifying Youth Voice and Action Close-out Ceremony

Assistant Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Ava White-Anderson (left), presents an award to President of Bully Proof Kids International, Gabrielle Clarke, during the UNDP’s ‘Amplifying Youth Voice and Action’ (AYVA) project close-out and awards ceremony, held recently at The Terra Nova All-Suite Hotel in Kingston. The UNDP piloted an intensive and inclusive youth engagement strategy through the AYVA project to address citizen security and safety. The project contributed to the empowerment of youth to actively participate in Jamaica’s citizen security governance and policymaking mechanisms, supported by the Ministry of National Security, the Planning Institute of Jamaica (PIOJ) and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
